We had to switch the fish

May 17, 2021 Hello everybody! This last week was so crazy! Super cool miracle of the week is that we have lessons with THREE new people this week and one of them was at church yesterday! It is amazing watching how the Lord is preparing people to receive the message of the restored gospel. So please pray the lessons go well this week so we can help three more people come closer to Christ! Woot woot! We had a lesson this week where we focused on trust and especially trust in God. I love this scripture in Alma 36:3  "And now, O my son Helaman, behold, thou art in thy youth, and therefore, I beseech of thee that thou wilt hear my words and learn of me; for I do know that whosoever shall put their trust in God shall be supported in their trials, and their troubles, and their afflictions, and shall be lifted up at the last day." My favorite thing to do is put my name, or whoever I am talking to, in for Helaman. As I do that it makes me think about the ways that I build my trust in ...

May 10, 2021 Hello everybody!  This week we had the great opportunity to have zone conference! It was an awesome meeting full of new things to be learned. The big focus and theme of the meeting was to expand our vision. We learned lots of new ways to use scriptures while teaching, new ways to use social media, and how family history is a great way to do missionary work! But my favorite part was when they encouraged us to expand our vision with those around them. They asked us to envision the people we are currently teaching and envision them being baptized and then being sealed as a family and enjoying all the blessings of the gospel. It completely changed my perspective on how I view the people around me. We truly are all children of a loving Heavenly Father and we all have a divine potential. I know moving forward I will look at those around me in a new light.  We also had a really amazing lesson tis week. It was one of those lessons that we planned on teaching one thi...

It's all about souls

May 3, 2021 Hello everybody! This week has been crazy with trying to find new people to teach. In the two weeks that I have been with Sister Pinkham, we have said "It's not about the numbers, it's all about the souls" so many times. I have come to love that phrase, and we had a couple of pretty amazing miracles this week where we got to say that phrase! The first one was on Thursday. It was Sister Pinkham's one year so we went to take pictures and while we were taking pictures this guy walked UP TO US. We didn't even do anything! He asked us when church meetings were because he wanted to come. He said that he had been looking into the church for awhile and was interested in learning more. We were able to get his name and number for the Elders. We had a rough day up to that point, so it was an awesome miracle to meet him!  The other one came from a cold text that we had sent out last week. It was this girl that asked us to pray for her, so we decided to give he...

We got a little soaked.

Apr 26, 2021 Hello everybody! We are one week into this transfer, and all I can say is, I think there are going to see some pretty amazing miracles! We had such an amazing experience this week with a couple that we are teaching. They have been struggling to recognize the spiritual experiences they have had or are having, so for our lesson this week, we decided to say a kneeling prayer with them at the end of it. At the end of the prayer, we asked them how they were feeling. One wasn't completely sure, so we were like, "is it peace or good?" and the other one goes, "I would describe it more as a calm." It was such a miracle! The Spirit was so strong at that moment, and I am so happy they were able to recognize it!! That lesson really got me thinking about the power of prayer. We read Enos , which is one of my favorite chapters in the Book of Mormon that talks about prayer. My favorite verses are 4 and 5 "4 And my soul hungered; and I kneeled down before my ...

6 months down!

April 19, 2021 Hello everybody! Transfers are this week. Sadly, Sister Crandell is getting transferred to Palm Bay and I am staying in Narcoossee. My new companion is Sister Pinkham and I am getting pumped for this upcoming transfer! It is sad having to say goodbye, but other good things are on the way! I also hit my 6 months this last week! It is kind of super crazy! I feel like I have already learned so much from my mission and I am so excited to see what the rest of my mission will bring! Super short this week, just know, all good things are still happening here in Narcoossee! I love you all, and I hope you all have a great week! よし、あいしています Wixom姉妹

April 12, 2021 Hello everybody! This week was full of really amazing experiences! It is crazy how fast the week goes by when you are working hard everyday and trying to do the best you can! We were able to talk with a lot of people which is always the best! Since General Conference was this last week, we tried to include some of the talks into our lessons. We met with this lady from our ward and we talked about President Nelson's talk from the morning session. I love the focus he put on faith. That even if we only have faith the size of a mustard seed, we can still move mountains. And I love that he gave us ways that we could strengthen and build our faith! If faith the size of a grain of mustard seed can move mountains, just imagine what faith the size of a tree could do! One of my favorite parts of my mission is watching other's faith grow! It is always through the small and simple things: prayer, scriptures, church.   We had a crazy awesome miracle today! Sister Crandell ...

April 5, 2021 Hello everybody! I hope y'all were able to watch conference this weekend! There were so many inspired talks! I loved the focus on faith and putting our trust in God! That was a principle that I needed to be reminded of and one that I need to be better about living. I feel so blessed to know that we have a living prophet on the earth who leads and guides us. If you didn't have a chance to watch, I would encourage you to go back and watch them. I know there is something from this general conference for all of us.  This week we had a really incredible lesson where we talked about the spirit and personal revelation. We talked about how the Spirit can talk to us through our thoughts, feelings, and and sometimes in a voice. We went through and talked about how and when we feel like we have received revelation. We also talked about how sometimes it is difficult to recognize if we are feeling the Spirit or if it is just our thought. Sister Crandell also made the intere...
