It's all about souls

Hello everybody!

This week has been crazy with trying to find new people to teach. In the two weeks that I have been with Sister Pinkham, we have said "It's not about the numbers, it's all about the souls" so many times. I have come to love that phrase, and we had a couple of pretty amazing miracles this week where we got to say that phrase!





The first one was on Thursday. It was Sister Pinkham's one year so we went to take pictures and while we were taking pictures this guy walked UP TO US. We didn't even do anything! He asked us when church meetings were because he wanted to come. He said that he had been looking into the church for awhile and was interested in learning more. We were able to get his name and number for the Elders. We had a rough day up to that point, so it was an awesome miracle to meet him! 




The other one came from a cold text that we had sent out last week. It was this girl that asked us to pray for her, so we decided to give her a call and see how she was doing. We ended up having this great conversation with her and we got to know her a little bit! We found out that she is going to school right now in Tampa, but she is moving back to St. Cloud this week. We invited her to come to church and she said that she would love to come with us this week! But, since she is in college she will probably end up going to the YSA ward. It was still really awesome to find some success from cold texting. 



It was a week with lots of new people which means lots of new souls! I am so grateful that I get to witness these miracles first-hand! I think it just shows how aware God is and how much His hand is in this work. He will put us in the exact spot that we need to be to help others come closer to Jesus Christ! 


Other exciting things from this week 

1- New bike racks are quite the adventure to put together. 

2- The ravioli from Aldis with the corn is a favorite of the Palominos. 

3- I'm not very good at painting, but painting Book of Mormons is a party. 

4- Bricktures are a classic. 

5- Sister Lanning is the best auctioneer around. 

6- Grilled cheese food trucks are my absolute dream come true. 

7- Packing moving boxes proves whether or not you played Tetris. 

8- We still haven't found the last paw patrol magnet in the warehouse.

9- Apples are a great replacement for water chesnuts for your stir fry. 

10- Pizza pasta for the win!!!

 December 5, 2020 Hello everybody! So many good things have happened recently! There are miracles all around us, God is so good!! Last weekend I had the chance to go to the temple with my companion, Tu'ineau shimai! She had invited me to go with her when she went through the temple, and of course I said yes. It was such a special experience to 1-be in the temple again and 2-meet my MTC companion in person.  I love the temple, it has always been a special place for me. Over the last year, my testimony and love for the temple has grown so much through the experiences I have had. One of the hardest things recently, is not being able to feel the peace that the temple brings me. Our teachers have encouraged us to make a place in our home our very own temple while all the temples are closed. A place that we can go to feel peace and close to God.  Sep 6, 2021, 2021 Hello everybody!  This week was miracle after miracle after miracle! It was amazing and an absolute amazing reminder of how incredible it is to be a missionary.  3 news  So throughout the week we have time set apart that we find people to teach. We will either look on social media, talk to members, go through our area book. All sorts of thing. Well...in a normal week for us we maybe find 1 or 2 new people. On Tuesday last week, we found 3 new people! By the end of the week we had a total of 5! There are so many people that have been prepared.  Saved contacts We decided we were going to contact a bunch of people one night and I had the thought to call Liz. Well...when I looked Liz up in our area book to get her number it wasn't there! Sometimes, if a person hasn't shown interest in a really really long time, their record will get deleted. I'm a real FOM missionary

November 8, 2021 Hello everybody! How are y'all doing? How was your week? Because mine was all over the place! We had so many miracles when it came to member meals this week! Our favorite was definitely when this couple invited us to go to the temple with them! So background, Sister Blanchard is going to France next Monday and she really wanted to go to the temple before she left. We called President Ashcraft and he said there wasn't any way we could just go. So we had been praying and praying that there would be a reason we could go to the temple. Then we go to this member meal and we get talking about the temple. Turns out, the wife has been asking and asking people if they could go and everyone kept turning her down. So now, we get to go! And to make it even better, when we asked President Ashcraft about it, he encouraged us to take a recent convert with us and we just happen to have a friend named Angel who has never been!
