寿司が大好きです! (I love sushi!)

Hello everybody!

I hope y'all were able to watch conference this weekend! There were so many inspired talks! I loved the
focus on faith and putting our trust in God! That was a principle that I needed to be reminded of and one that I need to be better about living. I feel so blessed to know that we have a living prophet on the earth who leads and guides us. If you didn't have a chance to watch, I would encourage you to go back and watch them. I know there is something from this general conference for all of us.

This week we had a really incredible lesson where we talked about the spirit and personal revelation. We talked about how the Spirit can talk to us through our thoughts, feelings, and and sometimes in a voice. We went through and talked about how and when we feel like we have received revelation. We also talked about how sometimes it is difficult to recognize if we are feeling the Spirit or if it is just our thought. Sister Crandell also made the interesting analogy that learning how to recognize the Spirit is like trying to learn a new language. You can't expect to be able to read a whole book in Japanese right away. You have to start by learning the letters and then words and then you might only be able to understand a fraction what is written. Biggest key: practice. Just how you need daily language study to improve your Japanese, you need daily scripture study, prayer, attending church and the temple, and other things that will allow the Spirit to come and touch your heart. I believe that the more times we put ourselves in a position the Spirit can speak to us, the more the Spirit will speak to us. I know the lesson was to help the people we are teaching understand how to receive revelation, but I feel like I learned so much from it!

With Easter yesterday, we have been sharing with everyone that we can the peace and hope that comes through Jesus Christ with the knowledge that He was resurrected. I am so grateful that my Savior suffered for all my sins and pains and was willing to die for me on the cross. But I am so grateful to know that because Christ was resurrected, I will have the same opportunity, and so will everyone else. That fact brings me so much hope and joy! I know that this life isn't the end! We will all live again, just as Christ lives today! I hope that during this Easter season you were able to feel of some of that hope and joy, as well, because it is true!

Fun things to be learned this week

1-Baby alligators are so cute! No surprise, baby animals are always better.

2-I am so glad I am a missionary serving during Covid.

3-Flip books are very difficult to make, especially trying to get a stick person to walk.

4-WE LOVE SUSHI!!!

5-Frank's food is too good, which is why he never cooks.

6-The church's wifi saves us when we have to do online lessons.

7-It takes a long time to text every person in the ward.

8-It can get cold in Florida! Like, I'm glad I wore a sweater, but wish I had a jacket cold.

9-Conference snacks are a must.

10-The best part of Easter egg hunts is hiding the eggs. No question.

I hope you all have a fantastic week!
