August 23, 2021  Hello everybody! Let's start off with some sad news, Sister Cook is getting transferred. The weekend has been full of hugs and goodbyes. I am going to miss her but super grateful I got to be her companion. My new comp is Sister Van Holten! I get to meet her tomorrow and I am so excited for her to meet everyone here in Vero! So we had a couple of really really awesome experiences this week! Most of them were with people we just met for the first time, too! Patricia She requested a Book of Mormon forever ago and we dropped it off and ever since we have been trying to get together to read with her ever since. Well...she said she would be home this week but when we called to confirm she didn't answer. We really felt like we needed to go over still so we did. When we got there she was stressed! But as soon as we started reading, she was calm. She told us that we carried peace with us and how grateful she was that we came! We are now going to be reading with her ever

August 9, 2021 Hello everybody!  This last week was super great! It was extra great because it started out with me turning 20! My district threw a little surprise birthday party for me, complete with blue streamers and cheesecake. Aren't Elders the best? Then on Tuesday, Sister Cook and I made spaghetti tacos for lunch (even in Florida traditions live on) and then we got some of the most bomb tacos I have ever eaten for dinner with some of the most bomb members ever! Besides tacos, we had a scripture study, did some service, and met with some of our friends. All in all, it was one of the best birthdays a missionary could ask for.  We had a really awesome experience this week with Priesthood blessings. Two of the people that we have been teaching are in a really tough spot right now. They have been struggling with a lot over the last year and it has been hard for them to feel like they are getting a break. We were able to watch a conference talk with them about enduring through our

August 2, 2021 Hello everybody! This week seriously flew by!  The biggest highlight for me was zone conference! Not only did I get to see some of the missionaries from my last district, we had some really awesome trainings! Our APs talked about talking with everyone and how important it is. They made a really good point that only God knows who is ready and who isn't, not us. Our responsibility is to invite everyone we can, by opening our mouths and talking to everyone we can. It reminded me of a video we watched a couple weeks ago. In the video, they talked about the wheat and the tares and how our only job is to gather because there is only one sifter, Jesus Christ. I'm definitely not the greatest at just going up to random people and starting a conversation, which is why it is comforting as a missionary to know that God is right here with me.  I have learned something pretty interesting on my mission, and especially since serving in Vero. God is really funny when it comes to

Jul 26, 2021 Hello everybody! This was kind of a weird week for us, because we didn't get to meet with a whole lot of people. BUT the people we did meet with were super awesome lessons! Our first one was with April and her kids. We met them at a park and they ended up walking there, that's important. We taught them the Restoration and we had a member there with us and she shared her experience about praying about the Book of Mormon. It was a really powerful lesson and then right at the end, the thunder started and then the downpour started. Well this member drove Sister Cook and I and it ended up being a miracle because we were in her van and could drive April and her kids home so they didn't have to walk! Tender mercies are all around us! The next one was Judy. She is a miracle. We found her when we went to drop off a Bible to a referral we had gotten. She was sitting outside so we went over and talked with her and prayed with her. She asked if we had any church clothes,
