We wrote a rap

Hello everybody!

Let's start off with some sad news, Sister Cook is getting transferred. The weekend has been full of hugs and goodbyes. I am going to miss her but super grateful I got to be her companion. My new comp is Sister Van Holten! I get to meet her tomorrow and I am so excited for her to meet everyone here in Vero!

So we had a couple of really really awesome experiences this week! Most of them were with people we just met for the first time, too!








Patricia

She requested a Book of Mormon forever ago and we dropped it off and ever since we have been trying to get together to read with her ever since. Well...she said she would be home this week but when we called to confirm she didn't answer. We really felt like we needed to go over still so we did. When we got there she was stressed! But as soon as we started reading, she was calm. She told us that we carried peace with us and how grateful she was that we came! We are now going to be reading with her every week!

Demario

He was a referral we got because he responded to a social media ad. We did a chapel tour with him the first time we met him and he loved it! He was so amazed that we have a prophet, even asked us if we could give president Nelson his phone number so they could talk😂we said we wish we could too! He loved Joseph Smith, and family history, and when we showed him the painting of Christ visiting the Americas, he asked if we could order him a Book of Mormon and was floored we had one in our bag for him already. At one point, he said "I think I might've joined the wrong church!" He is so awesome and hopefully we can keep meeting with him!

Tammy

So the other day, our tech missionaries gave us a training on using Facebook. They invited us to friend 50 people a day and that the ones that accept it will be the ones who are ready to hear our message. Well...I friended Tammy and then we got talking and she shared that she has been having some hard times recently. She told me that she had been praying and asked if I was the answer to her prayers! I invited her to come to church with me on Sunday, and she did! And loved it! Hopefully we will be able to meet with her and her daughter sometime next week! 


So many absolutely amazing miracles happening in Vero right now! They are all around, just got to have the eyes and faith to see them!

10 other things 

1-Just walk through the bushes. It's a shortcut. 

2-KFC has lemonade in a bag. It's like milk in a bag, but lemonade. 

3- Get the burrito not the bowl at Tijuana flats on Thursdays. 

4- Pressure washing stick bugs is the best kind of service. 

5-How long does it take to make chicken enchiladas, at least 25 min. 

6-Tasty Os chocolate glaze donuts are a Vero staple. 

7-Missing a call from President is not a great feeling, but chocolate afterwards is. 

8- We are getting real darn good at solitaire. 

9- Homemade burritos are less than chipotle burritos.

10-We are really good at writing raps.

 December 5, 2020 Hello everybody! So many good things have happened recently! There are miracles all around us, God is so good!! Last weekend I had the chance to go to the temple with my companion, Tu'ineau shimai! She had invited me to go with her when she went through the temple, and of course I said yes. It was such a special experience to 1-be in the temple again and 2-meet my MTC companion in person.  I love the temple, it has always been a special place for me. Over the last year, my testimony and love for the temple has grown so much through the experiences I have had. One of the hardest things recently, is not being able to feel the peace that the temple brings me. Our teachers have encouraged us to make a place in our home our very own temple while all the temples are closed. A place that we can go to feel peace and close to God.  Sep 6, 2021, 2021 Hello everybody!  This week was miracle after miracle after miracle! It was amazing and an absolute amazing reminder of how incredible it is to be a missionary.  3 news  So throughout the week we have time set apart that we find people to teach. We will either look on social media, talk to members, go through our area book. All sorts of thing. Well...in a normal week for us we maybe find 1 or 2 new people. On Tuesday last week, we found 3 new people! By the end of the week we had a total of 5! There are so many people that have been prepared.  Saved contacts We decided we were going to contact a bunch of people one night and I had the thought to call Liz. Well...when I looked Liz up in our area book to get her number it wasn't there! Sometimes, if a person hasn't shown interest in a really really long time, their record will get deleted. November 8, 2021 Hello everybody! How are y'all doing? How was your week? Because mine was all over the place! We had so many miracles when it came to member meals this week! Our favorite was definitely when this couple invited us to go to the temple with them! So background, Sister Blanchard is going to France next Monday and she really wanted to go to the temple before she left. We called President Ashcraft and he said there wasn't any way we could just go. So we had been praying and praying that there would be a reason we could go to the temple. Then we go to this member meal and we get talking about the temple. Turns out, the wife has been asking and asking people if they could go and everyone kept turning her down. So now, we get to go! And to make it even better, when we asked President Ashcraft about it, he encouraged us to take a recent convert with us and we just happen to have a friend named Angel who has never been!
