Riccardi came home

Hello everybody!

This was kind of a weird week for us, because we didn't get to meet with a whole lot of people. BUT the people we did meet with were super awesome lessons!

Our first one was with April and her kids. We met them at a park and they ended up walking there, that's important. We taught them the Restoration and we had a member there with us and she shared her experience about praying about the Book of Mormon. It was a really powerful lesson and then right at the end, the thunder started and then the downpour started. Well this member drove Sister Cook and I and it ended up being a miracle because we were in her van and could drive April and her kids home so they didn't have to walk! Tender mercies are all around us!

The next one was Judy. She is a miracle. We found her when we went to drop off a Bible to a referral we had gotten. She was sitting outside so we went over and talked with her and prayed with her. She asked if we had any church clothes, and MIRACLE, Sister Cook had just cleaned out her closet and was getting rid of a bunch of stuff. So we went back over a couple of days later and when we got there she was reading the Bible. Up until pretty recently, she has been having lots of hard things happening but she had lots of blessings and so she is turning back to God and Christ. We talked to her about the Book of Mormon and she was so excited she was folding corners down and said "I'm going to read this till the sun goes down!" We prayed with her and as we were driving away we could see her praying and she just looked so grateful! 

I have learned something pretty special from Judy. I don't think we have even talked to her for 15 minutes total, but I feel like I can say I love and care for her. I have come to see people differently on my mission. Seeing them how Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ see them. It is funny how that works and how much more you care for people when you see them for who they are and what they can become. 





Our last super awesome lesson was with Stephen! We taught him the Restoration and he loved it! Our member that was with us was bold and said "now you need to go and pray about it, and if it true, then you need to get baptized by the proper authority." And Stephen agreed completely and said he absolutely would! So pray that we can hopefully put him on date soon!

It was a weird week, but it was a good one! I hope you all watch the Olympics for me, especially synchronized diving!

 December 5, 2020 Hello everybody! So many good things have happened recently! There are miracles all around us, God is so good!! Last weekend I had the chance to go to the temple with my companion, Tu'ineau shimai! She had invited me to go with her when she went through the temple, and of course I said yes. It was such a special experience to 1-be in the temple again and 2-meet my MTC companion in person.  I love the temple, it has always been a special place for me. Over the last year, my testimony and love for the temple has grown so much through the experiences I have had. One of the hardest things recently, is not being able to feel the peace that the temple brings me. Our teachers have encouraged us to make a place in our home our very own temple while all the temples are closed. A place that we can go to feel peace and close to God.  Sep 6, 2021, 2021 Hello everybody!  This week was miracle after miracle after miracle! It was amazing and an absolute amazing reminder of how incredible it is to be a missionary.  3 news  So throughout the week we have time set apart that we find people to teach. We will either look on social media, talk to members, go through our area book. All sorts of thing. Well...in a normal week for us we maybe find 1 or 2 new people. On Tuesday last week, we found 3 new people! By the end of the week we had a total of 5! There are so many people that have been prepared.  Saved contacts We decided we were going to contact a bunch of people one night and I had the thought to call Liz. Well...when I looked Liz up in our area book to get her number it wasn't there! Sometimes, if a person hasn't shown interest in a really really long time, their record will get deleted. I'm a real FOM missionary

November 8, 2021 Hello everybody! How are y'all doing? How was your week? Because mine was all over the place! We had so many miracles when it came to member meals this week! Our favorite was definitely when this couple invited us to go to the temple with them! So background, Sister Blanchard is going to France next Monday and she really wanted to go to the temple before she left. We called President Ashcraft and he said there wasn't any way we could just go. So we had been praying and praying that there would be a reason we could go to the temple. Then we go to this member meal and we get talking about the temple. Turns out, the wife has been asking and asking people if they could go and everyone kept turning her down. So now, we get to go! And to make it even better, when we asked President Ashcraft about it, he encouraged us to take a recent convert with us and we just happen to have a friend named Angel who has never been!
