I'm gonna be a mom

December 27, 2021

Hello everybody!

I hope you all had a great Christmas! I know I sure did! We will get to that in a minute.

The last couple of weeks have been very very crazy! About a week and a half ago, Sister Seppi went home so she could be with her family for Christmas! So happy that I was able to he her companion even if it was just for 4 weeks! We got Sister Bryant to take her spot and I've been with her for the last 2 weeks! She is the freaking best! She went to Utah State too before the mission! Go Aggies!!!

This last week we had our mission Christmas devotional! We got to go to Orlando with half of our mission and it is was so good. They had a bunch of musical numbers and then in between those they had time for anyone to share their testimony. A lot of the missionaries who bore their testimonies talked about how missions are hard, like really hard, but they are worth it. They would share how they have been able to see miracles, come closer to Heavenly Father, and rely on the Atonement of Christ more than they ever have before. I can completely agree with all of those! One Elder said he has learned to not only rely on the Atonement every day, but every hour, every minute, and every second. And I loved that! Sometimes we think the Atonement is just for when we slip up, but the Atonement is what gives us strength to keep going every second. I am grateful for the Christmas season and that I got to come to know my Savior better!

We had a very cool little miracle while we were out knocking on some doors this week. We were going to visit a member we didn't know, and then a lady answered the door. We asked if the member was there, and she said he didn't live there. We asked if she would be interested in a Christmas message, and she said yes! So I got to stand there, on her doorstep and share with her how Christ was born to be HER Savior. And that not only is He her Savior but He is OUR Savior. He is the Savior of the world. It was a simple message but, even on a doorstep, the spirit was powerful.

Then on Friday, we got a call from President about transfers. He asked Sister Bryant and I to train. And we are going to split up the areas so we aren't going to be covering both anymore. Sister Bryant will stay in Narcoossee and I will go to Canoe Creek! It should be good! We pick them up tomorrow!

And then it was Christmas! I'll just start by saying our ward spoils us and we do not deserve them! We had a brunch and a dinner with some families in the ward and they were sweet enough to get us some gifts! We love them so much! But that morning we had a Christmas miracle. We decided to go fishing as a district, in PJ's of course because that's what we do, out at a "secret spot" on the ranch. We got in no problem, the gate was open. We fished, we caught some, and then we decided to go to the church for a little bit before we all had to head back into town for our brunches. Well...when we got to the gate, it was closed and locked and the Elders didn't have a key. But they said no worries there's another gate that we can get out. So we went to that gate and it was closed and locked and the Elders still didn't have a key. So they tried to call the neighbors, we were looking around but no luck. We were literally stuck on the ranch. And then a very nice man, about an hour later, pulls up and unlocks the gate for us. It was a miracle! He didn't even question the fact that the missionaries were stuck on the ranch haha.

It has been a pretty good transfer and I am very excited for this next one and for the new year. We have been talking as a mission and as a ward how we can continue to remember Christ even after the holidays. That is my goal. To think of new ways that I can continue to remember my Savior and what He has done for me so that I can continue to use His Atonement every second!

I love you all! Have a good week!
