Hello everybody!!

What a week! Nothing better than being a missionary!

We had a super awesome lesson with one of our people this week! We went in just planning on teaching her the Restoration, but we ended up teach her the Restoration AND the Plan of Salvation. All of her questions just perfectly led into it and the Spirit was definitely guiding that discussion because we had not prepared for that! It was also really cool because she was telling us things like "that makes sense. This is either true or it isn't. So I am going to go and pray and find out for myself." Literally the best thing for a missionary! We promised her that if she follows the invitation in Moroni 10, that she would receive her answer. I cannot wait to meet with her this week to hear how it went!


Also we have decided that God must definitely has a sense of humor. We were in charge of making a reel for the Instagram page and so of course our service in the apartment was terrible and the reel wasn't posting. We decided to go out and sit on the stairs of the apartment. Well we had been out there for a couple of minutes and out walks our neighbor that we have NEVER met. He asked us if we lived there and we started talking about how we are missionaries for our church and then we had an HOUR LONG conversation with him all about religion and we ended up giving him a Book of Mormon! But of course we probably wouldn't have ended up talking with him if our reel had posted right away!



Mini miracle of the week!

Sister Cook and I decided to clean out our apartment for p-day today. Well while we were cleaning out some drawers we found a gift card to Wendy's in a card from about a year ago. We decided to give it a try, so we ended up getting free lunch today! Woot woot! It's the little things!





God has really been blessing us and Vero, and we feel so grateful! 



10 things to be learned from this week

1-I can make a half court shot. 

2-There's nothing better than Moe's Mondays. 

3-Mint and raspberry gelato go pretty well together. 

4-Peanut butter M&Ms win. 

5-Questions are so vital to this gospel!

6-Nothing better than being attacked by hundreds of gnats at once. 

7-Neither of us like beans!

8-Beans and pulled pork can easily be mixed up. 

9-If you want to make something gourmet, just add onions and mushrooms. 

10-Sister Cook likes shrimp!

 December 5, 2020 Hello everybody! So many good things have happened recently! There are miracles all around us, God is so good!! Last weekend I had the chance to go to the temple with my companion, Tu'ineau shimai! She had invited me to go with her when she went through the temple, and of course I said yes. It was such a special experience to 1-be in the temple again and 2-meet my MTC companion in person.  I love the temple, it has always been a special place for me. Over the last year, my testimony and love for the temple has grown so much through the experiences I have had. One of the hardest things recently, is not being able to feel the peace that the temple brings me. Our teachers have encouraged us to make a place in our home our very own temple while all the temples are closed. A place that we can go to feel peace and close to God.  Sep 6, 2021, 2021 Hello everybody!  This week was miracle after miracle after miracle! It was amazing and an absolute amazing reminder of how incredible it is to be a missionary.  3 news  So throughout the week we have time set apart that we find people to teach. We will either look on social media, talk to members, go through our area book. All sorts of thing. Well...in a normal week for us we maybe find 1 or 2 new people. On Tuesday last week, we found 3 new people! By the end of the week we had a total of 5! There are so many people that have been prepared.  Saved contacts We decided we were going to contact a bunch of people one night and I had the thought to call Liz. Well...when I looked Liz up in our area book to get her number it wasn't there! Sometimes, if a person hasn't shown interest in a really really long time, their record will get deleted. I'm a real FOM missionary

November 8, 2021 Hello everybody! How are y'all doing? How was your week? Because mine was all over the place! We had so many miracles when it came to member meals this week! Our favorite was definitely when this couple invited us to go to the temple with them! So background, Sister Blanchard is going to France next Monday and she really wanted to go to the temple before she left. We called President Ashcraft and he said there wasn't any way we could just go. So we had been praying and praying that there would be a reason we could go to the temple. Then we go to this member meal and we get talking about the temple. Turns out, the wife has been asking and asking people if they could go and everyone kept turning her down. So now, we get to go! And to make it even better, when we asked President Ashcraft about it, he encouraged us to take a recent convert with us and we just happen to have a friend named Angel who has never been!
