I'm happy Tampa won

Hello everybody!!

I hope you all had a full week because I sure did!

On Tuesday Sister Crandell and I invited someone to be baptized!! This lady is incredible!! A member brought her to church 3 weeks ago and she had a Book of Mormon and had started reading it! When we taught her the Restoration, she already knew about Joseph Smith and the First Vision and thought it was amazing! We taught her the Plan of Salvation and had asked her to read Alma 40-42 but she wanted to start from the beginning so she read 40 chapters of Alma in a week! When we asked her about it, she said she loved the part when Alma baptized all the people! When we talked about repentance, she let us know that she had given up coffee a week before that because she felt like it was the right thing to do! When we asked her to pray about baptism, she was all for it! It is amazing to see what can happen when we reach out and share the gospel with our friends. If it hadn't been for that first member, we wouldn't have been able to meet her! It is also amazing to see how ready some people are to receive the gospel even during this crazy time! Missionary work is so good!! The gospel is so good!!

Missionary work has definitely changed because of COVID. We do a lot more of contacting through Facebook and calling/texting. This week we were doing cold calling, so just calling random numbers in the area, and we called this one guy. We told him who we were, asked if we could share a message about Jesus Christ, and he agreed to meet with us again!! We met with him on Sunday and taught the Restoration and he said it all made sense!! He wants to
meet again and he said that his friend might also be interested! We are so stoked!!! It was another testament that nothing stops God's work from moving forward.

This picture was shared in missionary group.
We have been able to do a lot of service this week. I love doing service because for me, it is one of the ways I feel the closest to my Savior. We got to give a training on Christlike attributes this week. One of my favorite parts of Christlike attributes is when you work on one you strengthen others. I love this quote from Robert D. Hales in the April 2017 conference. He said, "The attributes of the Savior, as we perceive them, are not a script to be followed or list to be checked off. They are interwoven characteristics, added one to another, which develop in us in interactive ways. In other words, we cannot obtain one Christlike characteristic without also obtaining and influencing others. As one characteristic becomes strong, so do many more." I have seen that already happening in myself and others around me. I am so grateful for a Savior that is the perfect example for me. And I am so grateful for this time that I am able to serve as He did!

Also my sister is an adult now, so that's crazy!! Happy Birthday, Emily!!!♡♡♡
