Hello everybody!

I hope y'all had a very merry Christmas!!

Things here in Florida are amazing! I am currently serving in the Narcoossee area, which I have been told is one of the best areas to serve in. The ward here is incredible, and they help out the missionaries so much, I don't think we can thank them enough. 

This last week, with it being Christmas and all, was full of service! We serve at the Bishop's Storehouse each week. Normally we go 1 or 2 times, but last week we ended up going 3 times! We also helped Kael, a lady we are teaching, at a local food pantry. We go there just about every week for a couple of hours, but because it was Christmas, we ended up staying longer than normal. Christmas Eve, we ended up helping a family in our ward and one of our neighbors as well. Wow. Lots and lots of service, but it is so good!!

Christmas was definitely different this year, but still so fun! My companions and I all tried to do as many of our family traditions as we could. So Christmas Eve, we decorated a gingerbread house, made lasagna, acted out the nativity, and opened our pajamas. For Christmas, we opened presents in the morning together, went to a family's house for brunch, played games with our district, and then went to another family's house for dinner. It was a full day spent celebrating with lots of different people!












 

So the family we ate dinner with on Christmas, is a family we have been teaching for a little bit now. They are really awesome. They have two girls and one son. The oldest daughter is 10 and she has decided that she wants to get baptized! So she is going ro be baptized this Sunday, and we could not be more excited for her! They are such a special family and I have loved watching how happy the gospel makes them. 

A few randoms from the week. We found a can of pumpkin that expired 2010 when we were at the food pantry with Kael. An Elder in my district LOVES sardines, so after our district council meeting, we all ate sardines. We also tried Dr. Pepper beans. Would not recommend.

 December 5, 2020 Hello everybody! So many good things have happened recently! There are miracles all around us, God is so good!! Last weekend I had the chance to go to the temple with my companion, Tu'ineau shimai! She had invited me to go with her when she went through the temple, and of course I said yes. It was such a special experience to 1-be in the temple again and 2-meet my MTC companion in person.  I love the temple, it has always been a special place for me. Over the last year, my testimony and love for the temple has grown so much through the experiences I have had. One of the hardest things recently, is not being able to feel the peace that the temple brings me. Our teachers have encouraged us to make a place in our home our very own temple while all the temples are closed. A place that we can go to feel peace and close to God.  Sep 6, 2021, 2021 Hello everybody!  This week was miracle after miracle after miracle! It was amazing and an absolute amazing reminder of how incredible it is to be a missionary.  3 news  So throughout the week we have time set apart that we find people to teach. We will either look on social media, talk to members, go through our area book. All sorts of thing. Well...in a normal week for us we maybe find 1 or 2 new people. On Tuesday last week, we found 3 new people! By the end of the week we had a total of 5! There are so many people that have been prepared.  Saved contacts We decided we were going to contact a bunch of people one night and I had the thought to call Liz. Well...when I looked Liz up in our area book to get her number it wasn't there! Sometimes, if a person hasn't shown interest in a really really long time, their record will get deleted. I'm a real FOM missionary

November 8, 2021 Hello everybody! How are y'all doing? How was your week? Because mine was all over the place! We had so many miracles when it came to member meals this week! Our favorite was definitely when this couple invited us to go to the temple with them! So background, Sister Blanchard is going to France next Monday and she really wanted to go to the temple before she left. We called President Ashcraft and he said there wasn't any way we could just go. So we had been praying and praying that there would be a reason we could go to the temple. Then we go to this member meal and we get talking about the temple. Turns out, the wife has been asking and asking people if they could go and everyone kept turning her down. So now, we get to go! And to make it even better, when we asked President Ashcraft about it, he encouraged us to take a recent convert with us and we just happen to have a friend named Angel who has never been!
