I have TWO moms??
Hello everybody!
So much has happened!!
To start off, I finished the MTC middle of December. It was so hard saying goodbye to all of my wonderful teachers and the other missionaries. The last week we spent so much time thinking about all the fun memories that we had had, talking about the things we had learned from each other, and getting ready to head off to our reassignments. I am so grateful that I was able to do the online MTC. It definitely was not what I thought my MTC experience would be, but it was better than I could have imagined. I am so grateful for the 9 extra weeks I was able to have with my family. They give me more support and love than I could ever ask for. Not many people get to say they spent 2 months of their missions at home, but I do. I am grateful for my teachers. They helped me come to love the gospel so much and love teaching even more. And I am grateful for the other missionaries, and especially my companion. Each of them taught me something different. I was able to see time and time again how these were supposed to be the people I went through the MTC with, even if we weren't all together in the same place.
I loved my MTC experience and everything I learned!
What I was really excited for was getting to Florida! Last Monday, I left my family, and flew to Florida. Saying goodbye was one of the hardest things, but I know God is going to protect them while I am gone. I was so excited to get to Florida, and meet so many new people!!
When I got to Florida, I got to meet my Mission President and his wife. Then we drove to the mission home, where I met my trainerS. So I have two trainers, or moms, and they are both amazing. My trainers are Sister Clark and Sister Crandell and they have both been out for 5 months. Sister Crandell has also been called to the Tokyo South mission, so now I have a buddy to talk to in Japanese. I have already learned so much from them and I love them both so much already. In the last week, I have met so many people. A lot of missionaries, ward members, and the people that we are teaching. The biggest thing that I have taken away from each of them is that the gospel is for everyone. Everyone has a different background, a different story, and different experiences. BUT Christ loves each of us the same. It doesn't matter where you are coming from, the gospel can bless you. I have seen that so many times this last week! I love the people here so much, and it is another witness to me that this is where I am suppose to serve right now. God is so aware of each of us, and His plan for us is perfect!Have a good week, and Merry Christmas!
よし、メリークリスマス!!!
